The I&TS Technology Services Group provides district-wide support services for computer hardware and peripherals, desktop and server operating systems and software, telephone systems, security cameras, IP Intercom systems, and the network.
Goals & Objectives
- Improve support levels for desktop hardware & software by streamlining the work order process
- Formulate and test strategy to reduce desktop computing costs via thin client techniques
- Continue support on the Prop H and U Bond modernization programs
- Plan wireless Internet access for all school sites
- Begin wireless Internet access implementation as part of Prop U modernization program
- Continue installation of network and server infrastructure UPS systems District-wide
- Start maintenance program for IP security cameras
- Improve communications and support with school Technology Specialists
- Continue training programs for staff to improve knowledge and support
