Facilities Management

The Facilities Management Department manages the implementation and expenditure of funds for the operation, maintenance and construction of District grounds and facilities. This includes Proposition H, the $274 million bond measure passed by the voters in 2004 which funds the modernization of 11 comprehensive high schools, 5 other school sites and the construction of a new high school. The Facilities Management Department is responsible for overseeing the planning, designs and construction of all Proposition H projects. The Facilities Management Department is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of all District grounds and facilities to include facility inspections, preventive maintenance, deferred maintenance, grounds maintenance, custodial services, energy conservation, compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, facilities safety, etc. Other programs run by Facilities Management include the Aquatics program, Real Estate management, facility leases (in & out leases), Joint Use Agreements, Developer Fee program, etc.
